Chena Goldstream Fire & Rescue to Host Open House

On Saturday, July 2nd from 12-5PM, Chena Goldstream Fire and Rescue (CGFR) will be hosting an Open House at Station 2 on Chena Ridge. This is a wonderful opportunity for members of the public, especially residents of the CGFR Service Area, to meet and visit with the dedicated volunteers that are protecting the lives, homes and property in the service area.

Visitors will be treated to a variety of drill demonstrations, displays and tours. Activities included in this year’s Open House:

• Apparatus Tours – Engines, Tankers, Ambulances, Off Road Rescue Equipment
• Airbag Demonstration – lifting a car off of a victim
• Water Rescue Demonstration
• Vehicle Extrication Demonstrations at 1:30 and 3:00 p.m.

Additionally visitors will have an opportunity to learn about volunteering with CGFR and how to protect their homes from fire. Free food will be offered for visitors – hot dogs, chips, popcorn and soda – and balloons will be available for the kids.
